Member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation
Born on 17 May 1978 in the village of 3rd Alexandrovka, Ternovsky District, Voronezh Region.
2000: Graduated from the Borisoglebsk State Pedagogical Institute.
2000-2002: Taught history at Secondary School No. 7 in Rtishchevo.
2002-2006: Taught history at Secondary School No. 3 in Rtishchevo.
2006-2011: Taught history at Gymnasium No. 1 in Balashov.
2011-2012: Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly (sixth convocation); Deputy Chairperson of the State Duma Committee on Education.
Since April 2012: Represented the Saratov Region at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and became a member of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Information Policy.
Since November 2013: Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Development; Chairperson of the Federation Council’s Interim Commission on Information Society Development.
Married, with a daughter.
